Nifty Thrifty Thursday: Thrifty Crafts

It's time for the warm-weather holiday season- Mother's Day, Father's Day and Independence Day. Not to mention the fact that the kids will be out of school soon. It is the perfect time for some craft projects.





Frankly, if you ask me, ANYTIME is the perfect time for crafts! I've always been the creative type and my penchant for craft supplies has only grown over the years. I enjoy making whatever I can out of unusual items or recycling things into projects. You can really make some great projects without spending a lot of money!



One of my favorite sites for kids crafts is Family Fun! Search their site for any kind of craft you can think of! One of the biggest hits for us has been the kites you can make from an 8.5 X 11 piece of paper!! They are so easy to make, they really fly and they held up on a super windy day in our yard!!!!

Thrifty Mommy posted a great Thrifty Mother's Day Craft last year that any Mom, Dad or Grandparent would be proud to own!

The Homemaking Cottage has a wonderful list of craft projects and many of them use recycled household items as materials!
