Vacation Reminiscing

I love going on vacation. I love the planning, packing, relaxing and coming home afterwards.

Okay, maybe I don't really love the packing.

I also love that our vacation isn't too long. It is nice to get away and take a break from the norm, but without that day-to-day, vacations wouldn't be quite as enjoyable. I look forward to our trip to Canada every year.

We have talked about taking the boys to the beach as well, but I am not a beach person. I like sitting with my feet in the water and sand, but I can only take a few hours of that. I am not a sun worshiper- all I do is freckle. I'd rather be with Mike and the boys in a boat with a fish on the end of my line putting up a fight. The kids are close by with life vests on, there are no crowds to fight, no volleyball-playing families hollering and no one throwing sand.

I've never been to North Carolina, so maybe one day I'll give in and we can rent a little piece of nc waterfront property for a week like my SIL and her family do.

Where do you go on vacation?

We like to go different places every year. We went to Myrtle Beach last year but I'm like you. I like to look at the ocean but I'm not to big on the sun. We really didn't go antwhere this year because I'm going to New York City in December.

I try to organize our vacations near the oceans; they are the heart of summer memories.
