Perfection

We love having bonfires and cookouts. This summer has been the exception. It started out cool and very dry and July brought a lot of rain and more chilly nights.

Last weekend, we finally had a small cookout over the fire and it was so nice! We ended up getting a sprinkle of rain after we ate supper, but the fire kept burning and right before dark, we decided it was time for some s'mores.

The temperature was perfect, there was just a hint of a breeze and the bugs stayed far away. The boys were so excited to make s'mores. They kept giggling as Steven tried to sneak in bunny ears behind Matthew's head while I took about a million pictures of their sweet faces by the fire. It was one of those days you wish you could bottle up and relive over and over, but pictures and posting about it is as close as I can get. It really couldn't have been more perfect.
