Winter Wonderland

Its funny how even in the dead of winter the days get away from me and I don't get to blog as often as I'd like to. By the time the sun goes down and the kids are in bed, I'm so tired that I collapse in my recliner under my nice warm blanket and the post I have been composing in my head all day slips into oblivion.

I'm hoping that will be alleviated somewhat when Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend. The light will last a bit longer into the evening and maybe, just maybe, I'll have a little more midnight oil to burn. Of course that will make it harder to get moving in the mornings, but I'm not a morning person to begin with. No drastic changes there.

I used to be able to stay up late and be productive. What happened?

Oh yeah... I had kids. Thaaaaat's right. ;o)

Sitting here, there are so many things I need to blog about. There's the fact that Steven went for his Kindergarten screening today, the homemade noodles I made last week and our CRAZY weather the last few days.

How 'bout starting with the weather?

(This is where I regress for a moment and relive my horrible experience with the computer tech who gave me absolutely no help whatsoever. Long story short, I still have to find the driver disk for my digital camera so I can once again post pictures.)

I should have taken a picture of my sheets hanging on the clothesline on Monday (please refer to last parenthetical phrase as to why I neglected to do so) and the icicles hanging on the clothesline today. Not kidding. It was about 60 degrees on Monday and I scurried home from work to wash sheets and hang them out. Then, I opened all of the windows in the house to let in some fresh spring air thereby letting in the only fly in the whole county. I didn't care, though. We had sunshine, the kids played outside and got all muddy and wet and I had crisp, fresh sheets to sleep on.

Then, it started raining yesterday and the temperature started dropping and everything got a glassy, crystal coating overnight. The roads in our area weren't bad and we never lost power, so I can look back fondly and tell you how pretty it was when the sun shone through the frosted trees.

Well, here goes my energy for the night. I made the mistake of sitting down and it's all starting to catch up with me now. If you still have some energy, check out some of the hotels Las Vegas has to offer.

Goodnight and God speed.

Hey! That's catchy! Oh, its been taken? DARN! LOL!

I am not looking forward to daylight savings. We are far enough west that when we change time, its still light at 9:30.
Thats a bit much
