Better Late Than Never

I am very behind on my blogging. Especially when it comes to commenting. I have been reading, but I feel like a big lurker lately and I don't like to do that. I prefer to comment and have some sort of back and forth 'conversations' with my blogging friends.

If you haven't already, make sure you stop by Joanna's blog Sunflowers in My Kitchen and check out the latest edition of Make It From Scratch. YUMMY!

To recap our weekend, Matthew's team had a good game, but they lost. The Browns had a great game and WON!!! Matthew had a sleepover birthday party to go to on Saturday night, so the two of us did a little grocery shopping before the party. I was so glad to have all of that done because, other than picking Matthew up from the party, I got to relax on Sunday.

Monday brought another pleasant surprise as Mike took Matthew to and from practice which gave me time to clean the bathrooms and do a couple of loads of laundry. That was nice to have the time and not have to rush!

On another totally unrelated note, I think I may need another cordless phone battery . The thing will work fine for a while and one day, it will just poop out and drain really fast. It has been better since I have started work and I can leave it on the charger longer. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I am not talking on the phone all day anymore. Nope. That couldn't be it at ALL. :o)

When Matthew and I were shopping on Saturday, I stopped at Dollar General to pick up some sugar. I had promised him that next time we were there I would get him another (are you ready for this?) remote control whoopee cushion. He had bought one a few weeks ago and it got broken (but no one seems to know who did it or how. Hmmmm...).

Long story short, I bought one for each of the boys to avoid any tug-of-war type fights that might rip the cord out (strangely similar to the fate of the first one...).

SO.

When I grabbed the covers to crawl into bed that night, I felt a string-like object with a plastic thingy on the end of it. I followed the cord with my hand (in the dark) and found the speaker end of the whoopee cushion under Mike's pillow!

I guess Steven was planning on getting in bed with us and playing a little prank on Daddy! LOL! He's a total original!!

Try cleaning the metal charger thingies on the bottom of the phone and on the charger. I read to use a pencil eraser to clean them works best. If that doesn't work, good luck finding a battery that works with your phone. We had a heck of a time!

lol, I didn't know they made 'remote' whoopie cushins.
