WFMW: Fast Phone Numbers

I don't have to look up phone numbers often. I am very good at remembering them. I can still remember our phone number from when I was 5 years old and we moved a lot when I was growing up. Sometimes, though, it is nice to have certain numbers handy.

Years ago, I typed up 2 lists of phone numbers. They each have 2 columns. Sheet one has family/friends in the first column and Doctors/work/schools in the other. The second sheet has Auto repair and parts places in the first column and retail stores (Walmart, K-Mart, etc.), hardware stores and farm/garden supply stores (Tractor Supply and the like) in it.

I place these two sheets back-to-back in a plastic sheet protector so both sides are visible.

It is so much nicer when we need to call for prices. We can quickly find out which store has the product we need at the lowest price. I'm sure this list has saved us hundreds of dollars from this alone.

It is also nice when I get called in to sub for one of the schools. I can easily find the number of which school I will be working at so I can include it on a note for Steven's preschool teacher. It comes in handy for babysitters, too.

Bonus Tip: Put all of your take out menus between the phone number sheets and they will all be in one handy spot the next time you want to order out!

Oooh. This is a good tip. I will probably hang something like this on one of my kitchen cabinet door (on the inside of course). But that is way smart. You are such a smarty!!
