Spring Is In The Air

We had some lovely weather this weekend and it inspired me to get my camera out.

Despite Steven having a temperature all weekend, he did get out for a while each day. You know he doesn't feel good when he voluntarily comes inside. I usually have to call him two or fifteen times before he'll even blink.

We (and when I say we, I mean DH) put together Matthew's birthday present from DH's family. It's about 6 feet tall and has a baseball player on one side and a football player on the other. There is a pouch that pushes through and catches the baseballs or football. Both of the boys enjoyed it immensely!

I took a little trek by myself with my camera.

DH and the boys ended up following me into the woods behind our house. It is finally dry enough that I didn't have to put on my boots to walk back there. I snapped a few pics.

Things are just beginning to bud and green up a little around here. I'm glad there was plenty of sun over the weekend because it's supposed to rain every day this week.

That wet forecast just figures because it's spring break for our kids this week. I will have at least two extra kids every day since I babysit, so the boys are excited to have kids to play with and they aren't driving each other crazy.
I plan to do a few crafts this week, but as for today, we are taking it easy. It is warm and dry outside, so that's where the kids will be.

Speaking of outside, here's another sign of spring. My weeping cherry tree is covered in tiny buds. It won't be long and the whole thing will be bursting with blooms and buzzing with bees. I can't wait!

I like the hairy vine. NIFTY!!! I think I know where one of those is at my Grandpas Ranch. I'm going to look for it next time I'm out there.

Hey, thanks for stopping by my blog. *sigh* I miss having woods in my back yard. Just now my 3 year old went on a hunt to find some bugs, but our "yard" is all cement so it will be a hard find. We are still able to find ants!
