Week's Wrap-Up

I can't believe I made it through yesterday. It was a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad trying day as the kids I babysit and my boys teamed up and attempted mutiny. This is partly my fault since I had them all on Wednesday and bragged on Facebook about how good they were being.

I've watched most of these kids for about 5 years now, and the whole bunch of them are more like brothers and sisters. They also fight and plot like like brothers and sisters and you know exactly what I mean. The day began with fighting and quickly moved on to plotting. Suddenly, they decided that the rules we've had here for 5 years didn't apply to them and the house exploded into chaos of Pippy Longstocking-like proportions!

I won't relive the scenario by getting into any of the oh-so-nuuuuumerous painful details, but suffice it to say that by the time lunch rolled around, my throat was sore from yelling at the little buccaneers.

By the grace of God, I got an hour a few minutes away from the house thanks to my SIL needing help ("SURE I'll come over!") and my niece agreeing to watch the kids for me. The day wore on without anymore snags from the kids, but the evening was a blur with football practice, a birthday party and getting Matthew packed for a last-minute weekend camping trip with a friend.

Today has, thankfully, been much quieter. I posted the cute flip-flop sandal birthday card that I made for the party over at Make It from Scratch today, so check it out! Hope you all have a peaceful, mutiny-free weekend!

I saw that flip-flop card earlier today, very cute.

Sorry about your trouble. Hope next week is a better week for you.
