Another Saturday Gone By

I can't believe the weekend is almost half over! Forgive my whining, but it just got heeeeerrre! Why does it have to go so faaaaaast?

Matthew had a basketball game again today. Afterwards, the boys and I ran a couple of errands, picked up lunch and headed back home for a relaxing day. A friend and her kids that I babysit came over for a couple of hours and we had a really nice time!

After a nice supper, I sat down to look at my new issue of Family Fun Magazine! And the answer to your question is, "YES!" I am that sad that a new issue of Family Fun qualifies as a great evening. What can I say? I'm a Mom.

Anyhoo, it got me to thinking about Valentine's Day. They have some really cute ideas for making your own Valentine cards and I thought that would be a great idea for Matthew. Steven may want to join in the fun, but I highly doubt- no wait... I KNOW- he won't have the attention span to make enough for his whole class. I bought him some Spider-Man cards last week.

Tuesday is Mike's Birthday and I have no idea what to get him. He's not very tech savvy, so HDMI splitters are out. I bought him a camo jacket on sale a couple of weeks ago, but it has some kind of fabric between the layers that is too noisy for him to wear it hunting. He mentioned a floor jack, but that is something I should let him pick out for himself. I know they're one-size-fits-all, but what do I know about floor jacks? I'd probably get the worst one out there and we'd end up having to take it back. I could get him a gift card, but then he'd be stuck buying one from wherever I get the card for. :::sigh::: Men are so hard to shop for sometimes!
