I don't know what came over me this week, but I went tackle crazy!
Maybe it was the weather. Maybe it was seeing Mandy doing all of her laundry and housework last Sunday when I stopped at her house. Maybe it was hearing about my neighbor and all of the things she had been doing. Maybe it was the stale air in the bedrooms and the dust the kids thought was cool to make hand prints in.
I consider it a sign when my 4 year-old takes time to actually stop and make a comment about the dust.
Whatever the inspiration, I went to town here! I'm so glad to have a place like 5 Minutes for Mom to show it off and pass that inspiration on to you.
First, I planted the flowers I got from the women's bible study group last week.
Next came washing the sheets, pillow cases, mattress covers, comforters and blankets from all of our beds. I washed them and hung them out on the clothesline. Then, I remade them all for the warmer weather we finally have... NO BLANKETS!!! They smelled so fresh and clean last night!
I also dusted. Nothing exciting about that, but we can now see the computer and TV screens, tabletops and... well, everything else. I hadn't realized how long it had been since I dusted, but I guess with mowing (with windows open) and being outside most of our waking hours, I had just been neglecting it.
I went on to wash about 3 other loads of clothes and hang them out, too. Since I was dusting between loads and Matthew had a ballgame last night, the clothes are still sitting on the love seat patiently waiting to be folded and put away. I plan to get that done today.
Hope you are all getting things accomplished in your corner of the world!
PS- The Make It From Scratch Carnival is up over at Frugal Mama! I posted mine for this week at The Fat Bottomed Girl- Homemade B-B-Q Sauce!
