Getting Funky

I'm getting into kind of a funk. I have seen many posts about people getting the 'blogging blahs' and it being February and all. I thought I was immune, but I guess mine was just waiting until almost March to show up.

I have a few things drafted, but I get in the middle of them and BAM! The funk creeps in. It also doesn't help that Steven is all but taking over the computer. He's having so much fun with the new games on the computer that he bugs me the entire time I'm typing. It wasn't so bad over the weekend because I had DH here for reinforcement, but now he's back at work. Its hard to type one thing with someone constantly talking in your ear.

We finally got some decent weather up here. We had a bit of an ice storm go through Saturday night which cancelled PSR and kept us from church, but it melted fast. The snow from Valentine's Day is finally melting away and the air smells like spring.

We didn't do much over the weekend. Matthew played his last Upward Basketball game and they won! Their team went undefeated. It makes up for all those football games they lost. Matthew spent the night with a friend Saturday night and I rented movies.

DH and I watched Flags of Our Fathers on Saturday night. Overall it was a good movie. I really liked the battle scenes. DH's Papa John was in the battle at Iwo Jima. He drove a boat in from the ships and dropped off troops and picked up injured.

The movie was slow in starting and it jumped around a lot. There were quite a few flashbacks which was expected. I didn't like that you didn't really understand the story line or who some of the characters were until about mid-movie. It didn't follow a traditional story-telling format.

Last night we all sat down to watch Open Season. Very cute movie. Steven had watched it Saturday night, so he was having a ball acting out scenes and speaking the dialogue while we watched. It was like a 2 for 1! My favorite part was when he enacted the part where the deer gets shot six times in the toosh with tranquilizer darts.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, too!

I read the book and I dont know if I want to see the movie. The mental imagines in my head of the brutality of it all probably isnt as bad in the movie. But in reading the book I know in my head some of the stuff they probalby wont show. Some day I'll see it

I threw the kids (except V of course) outside. That is about the only way I can get a moment to think!

To get over your "blogging blahs" you could post about some of these:
American Idol
Your t.v. shows you watch
your family(mother,sisters...just don't let this one get you in trouble)
Or the best of all... Your FAVORITE SISTER!

Oh no, not you too! Maybe moods will pick up when 5 Minutes for Mom's party starts!

Yeah, I have been so busy with work, that I don't post enough either. I have a running list on my phone when I think about posting something during the week, but I haven't got to it yet. on Mondays I work 13 hours and then take the rest of the week to catch up to everything else.

I totally know what you mean about having to share the computer. My son is obsessed with it and it is such a pain.

I enjoyed reading your movie reviews. I do a Movie Review Monday. Feel free to come over to leave a comment about your movies.
